The marina was not hard to find and also located in the vicinity we planned to stop for the day. It has a well marked entrance channel and extremely nice facilities. www.dowrycreekmarina.com All of these positive features seem minor compared to the friendly management and hospitality that is extended from the time you make the first radio contact. Michelle and Brad were waiting to take our lines as we approached the slip. They are both live-a- boards on their respective boats and serve as dock assistants for Mary, who owns the marina. By the time we had finished signing- in, we were on a first name basis with everyone. We were also invited to the impromptu social that is held on Saturday evening – BYOB and a snack to share – we will be there.
Earlier, Polly had taken “taco meat” out to thaw so it was Mexican night aboard FLIGHT. Nachos Grande was to be our dinner, accompanied by a bottle of Bogle Vineyard’s Petite Sirah. Nachos very good, Bogle pretty good.
Adios amigos.
